River Stour and Medieval Westgate tower gardens – The tower gives good views back towards Canterbury as well looking out over the gardens.
Old Weaver’s House – The photograph is taken on a river cruise. Nearby is a witches’ chair. People tried for witchcraft were dunked in the river. If they emerged alive, they were judged to be guilty and burned at the stake. If they drowned, they were proclaimed innocent. What you might call a “no win” situation!
St George’s Clock Tower completely dominates its surroundings.
Canterbury Cathedral was built in the middle ages and is a fine example of medieval English architecture.
