Loch Ness – No, I didn’t see Nessie, although I drove the full 23 miles length of the loch.
This view of Lochalsh is taken from the Lochalsh Woodland Garden, a tranquil place.
Loch Lomond is approximately 22 miles in length. It is good to either walk, cycle, drive or cruise. This shot is different to the usual photographs that I see of the loch. I was specifically after reflections and am pleased with the result. If you visit Loch Lomond, do call into the ancient village of Luss.
Queens View is one of my favourite places in the whole of Scotland. You should be warned that there are numerous places called “Queen’s View” in Scotland. This one is near Pitlochry. Queen Victoria thought it was named after her, but in fact it was named after Robert the Bruce’s Queen Isabella. I don’t think anyone told Queen Victoria! The only thing that spoils time spent here is the noise of low-flying aircraft over Loch Tummel.
